MISSION STATEMENT
Running involves many movements of the body all moving in rhythm and correct time to encourage forward momentum. When the body moves efficiently there is less wear and tear on the joints and muscles.
Over miles and miles, the body gets tired, and knowing how and when to get back into balance will keep you heading towards your goal.
My mission is to coach runners the way I'd like to be coached. Since
running is not so much about how fast we run, but mostly about how we run, I
focus on teaching the importance of running technique and improving running
efficiency. Ultimately, this means running faster, stronger, healthier.
I'll see you in the park!Mike

FEBRUARY IS HERE! It's time to start adding in more workouts: Tempo Runs, Intervals, Hills.
Why? So you can run faster and stronger in the spring, summer and fall!
These workouts don't need to be, and probably shouldn't be, FAST now. If you haven't been working out or racing you'll need to give your legs time to adjust to faster running (especially when it's cold out and the legs don't want to move faster).
February should be more of a transition month to get your legs going again, focus on stretching more, and going to the gym to cross-train and be strong for the upcoming season.
